LESLIE BENNETT DOWLING, DPM

Dr. Dowling is originally from Blackshear, Georgia and is returning home to serve her hometown community.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University.  She received her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Masters in Business Administration, and her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degrees from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Miami, Florida.  She completed a three-year residency at DeKalb Medical, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was trained by the top foot and ankle surgeons known throughout the world.  While in Atlanta, she received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery

as well as diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Dowling is currently a member of the teaching and research faculty at The Podiatry Institute, an internationally recognized teaching foundation for reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.   She has lectured all over the United States and is an author and co-author in the last two editions of the Podiatry Institute’s annual “Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery Update,” as well as a contributing author to the new edition of

McGlamry’s Comprehensive Foot & Ankle textbook.

Dr. Dowling is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association.  She is also a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.  


Dr. Dowling lives in Blackshear with her husband, David, son, Drake, and daughter, Caroline.
